Olhares sobre Marat/Sade .1

The Banners for each year were hung in a spiral shape from the bottom of the catwalk ring above Marat, and line was pulled dropping them in a spiral pattern to the floor.

De Sade introduces Corday to Marat
Marat addresses the inmates. Marat has just been placed under the central shower, notice the boards are wet. Also note audience members surrounding the central playing area.
Charlotte Corday buys the knife. This platform unit also functioned as a guillotine for large puppet heads. Notice the holes for the heads around the outside.

This song ends the play, and the group sings it right after Marat’s death. The actors and actresses sing the harsh and cynical lyrics with a wide smile on their faces.

Marat is laying in his bath, depressed and miserable, suffering from his skin disease.
Hadar Shachaf sings this sad tune for him. Song: "Poor Marat"



We want revolution now!

The lovely actress Karin Even-Haim sings this song to Marat:
"We want revolution now!"


Charlotte Corday arrives to Paris to murder Jean Paul Marat.
She is amazed to see how violent the city is.
Song: " What kind of city is this?" Vocals: Hadar Shachaf.
